To strengthen the district’s existing economic base while finding ways to meet new opportunities and challenges from outlying development.

Recent Accomplishments:

• Completed DDA Business Inventory
• Completed inventory of available property
• Obtained additional liquor licenses for the DDA District through Redevelopment Act – PA 436.1521a(1)(b)
• Held Ribbon Cuttings for new and expanded businesses
• Research and developed new financial incentives for businesses

Current/Future Projects:

• Inventory of all available property in the DDA—uploaded on our website
• Develop a business recruitment package to include available properties, financial incentives, demographics, etc.
• Recruit a restaurant and other business types that will add to the character of the DDA District
• Encourage Outdoor Dining in the DDA District
• Update DDA business Directory
• Market Liquor License for Redevelopment
• Bring in Oakland County Business Development Team Meetings: 2nd Tuesday of the Month at 2:00 p.m. at the DDA office
