Main Street Holly

You know you have heard the phrase “Main Street” with regards to the DDA and Holly being a Main Street Oakland County (MSOC) Community, but how much do you really understand the program? Main Street is all about Downtown Revitalization. MSOC is an economic development program with a historic preservation based philosophy, affiliated with the National Main Street Center, a program of the National Trust for Historic Preservation in Washington DC.

Main Street utilizes the “four-point” approach for community involved comprehensive downtown revitalization and management. Our four committees, made up of Design, Organization, Promotions, and Economic Restructuring, work together with the DDA Board to successfully complete shared goals.

The Holly DDA has been designated an accredited National Main Street Program for meeting the commercial district revitalization performance standards set by the National Trust Main Street Center. Each year, the National Trust and its coordinating program partners announce the list of accredited Main Street programs that have built strong revitalization organizations that have demonstrated their ability to follow the Main Street methodology.

The following committe links contain information about what each committee is currently working on in the upcoming year, what its purpose is and who its members are:
