Volunteer Hot Job List

  1. Help with Downtown Beautification Projects such a flower planting, watering, and weeding.
  2. Create an “adopt a bench” program to purchase new benches for downtown and green spaces.
  3. Organize a Door Prize drawing during special events to help grow our mailing list.
  4. Give input regarding the “look” of a Holly billboard.
  5. Use your graphic design skills and create a downtown walking map.
  6. Create a downtown Holly facebook fan page.
  7. Coordinate a volunteer appreciation event.
  8. Type addresses into DDA database.
  9. Put a team together for the DDA Golf Outing or sponsor a tee.
  10. Help update our listing of available property and business directory.
  11. Attend DDA sponsored workshops, conferences, and activities.
  12. Help set-up and tear down at special events.
  13. Create invitations and flyers for various events.
  14. Contact business owners and present various opportunities.
  15. Coordinate mailings to include folding, stuffing envelopes, labeling, stamping and delivering to the post office.
  16. Distribute flyers, brochures, posters, etc.
  17. Select and procure Recognition Awards.
  18. Participate in various focus groups to provide input and ideas.
  19. Assist at special events to include registration, information booth, activities, etc.
  20. Conduct research on the internet for special DDA projects.
