You may have heard the phrase “Main Street” before with regards to the DDA and Holly being a Main Street Oakland County (MSOC) Community, but how much do you really understand the program? Main Street is all about Downtown Revitalization. MSOC is an economic development program with historic preservation based philosophy, affiliated with the National Main Street Center, a program of the National Trust for Historic Preservation in Washington DC.
Main Street utilizes the “four-point” approach for community involved comprehensive downtown revitalization and management. Our four committees, made up of Design, Organization, Promotions, and Economic Restructuring, work together with the DDA Board to successfully complete shared goals.
Purpose: To strengthen the district’s existing economic base while finding ways to meet new opportunities and challenges from outlying development.

Purpose: To market the traditional commercial district’s assets to customers, potential investors, new businesses local citizens & visitors.

Purpose: To build consensus and cooperation among the many groups and individuals who play a vital role in the revitalization process.
